WoT – Frontline review : Road to victory

Post by MacDaddyMatty » Mon May 07, 2018 11:04 am

Starts today!

Mike-T 2016:

Its actually very good and enjoyable to play this mode
+-0 MM its very REFRESHING with zero T10 tanks fucking up everything with shit MM in a T8 tank

played on test server and most players ‘ignored’ the rules “defend or win” as its overly complicated how its implemented ‘for some players’ so most just spawn in then have a good time re-spawn and etc
the attackers OVERTIME feature is pathetic it trolls the defending team real bad, just stupid

If WG can keep this fairly straightforward and simple to learn I think WG will have a HUGE winnerr here .. T8 premium sales boom time anyone?

of course its WG?
so ………….. expect more dumb rules, more complications per patch, and Frontline is only a part time game mode
(yeah dumbest ever move like ever! from WG (but hey again its WG .. sigh

General Overview:
•Battles takes place between two teams, with 30 players on each.
•Only Tier VIII vehicles are allowed in this mode.
•To fight in the Frontline mode, players can use all Tier VIII vehicles available in the Garage, as well as two rental Tier VIII vehicles.

Each team has its own objective:
•The attackers should break through the defense and destroy at least 3 out of 5 pillboxes on the enemy territory.
•The defenders should repel enemy attacks until the battle timer elapses.

The combat takes place on a 9 km² map that can be divided into three horizontal lines:
•First defense line (zones A, B, and C): starting point for the attacking and defending teams.
•Second defense line (zones D, E, and F): the frontline is shifted to this map area once at least one zone at the first defense line is captured.
•The third defense line (not divided into zones) represents the map area, where the final battle takes place. The main objectives are located here—the pillboxes with powerful high-caliber guns. The attackers must destroy them to secure victory.

Frontline Mode will be available starting today from 12:00 PM - 1:00 AM CT.

We do have one release issue we are already preparing a fix for - platoons do not currently work with the mode. There is a micropatch scheduled for tomorrow morning that should fix it, downtime will be extended until approximately 6:45 AM CT.

I wonder how bad the other game modes will suffer from the lack of players.
And will clan war slots be easier or harder with potentially less players available for each clan.

All tier 8. So,
Either, all the tier 10 guys will be playing this and tier 8 will be a ghost town - or every tier 8 will be a tier 9 fest.
Interesting to see what happens - also with clan wars...
Also look for 2 Tier8 tanks in your garage: T32 FL and T-44 FL
Trying to determine if these are rentals or gifts.
Prob rentals for ppl without tier 8 tanks.
